What it is

Midjourney generates images from text prompts and is known for a polished, artistic look. It now has a full web app, so Discord is no longer required.

Image quality

Composition, colour and lighting are the best we tested. Version 6.1 improved hands and text rendering, though long phrases still fail from time to time.

Control and workflow

Style and character references make series work practical. Inpainting and the editor cover most touch-ups without leaving the app.

Pricing

There is no free plan. The basic subscription covers casual use, while heavy users will want a higher tier with fast hours.
